Hello and welcome to this week’s episode of the podcast!

Now today we are going to talk about how to get career clarity – how to be certain of your next move in your career.

But not just how to know what that next best move is but how to do it in 30 days.

30 days! 

I spent years in a good job knowing it wasn’t my best role that was leveraging my talents and potential but not really sure what that next move was.

So I made a lot of career decisions based on what made sense.

Through a lot of trial and error and so many years, I finally figured it out.

Then I reverse engineered what I needed to know to identify my best role and why all those generic assessments, mentors and pathways at work didn’t give me the answer.

I tested it for years with women in the industry and guess what? It always worked.

100% of the time it gave my clients career clarity.

So then I looked at how I could expedite it to help my clients get the answer in less than 2-3 months.

Then I looked at how I could get my clients through the process to get their “aha” moment in 30 days or less.

And that’s what I did.

This is what we are talking about today.

My gosh, what I would have paid to be able to listen to this episode years ago when I was frustrated and settling – thinking maybe dream jobs don’t exist.

We are going to talk about my Career Protocol process. 

Your Career Protocol tells you exactly what you want down to the type of work you want to do, your zone of genius, your strengths, the type of boss you work best with, the type of culture you would do well in, and this is powerful. It not only gives you direction but it also tells you what questions to ask when you’re interviewing so you know if the company is just repeating a poster or do they actually behave like they say they want to.

It tells you what gaps you have in your career that are preventing you from getting to your next promotion or long term career vision.

It gives you a roadmap.

It’s a powerful decision making tool so you always know what you want and can proactively drive your career forward, knowing it’s the right direction.

This is what is missing if you aren’t where you want to be in your career now or aren’t sure what you want for your future.

It stops you from solving the wrong problem so you don’t waste your time or move into a new role that you later regret.

You’ll be able to communicate with confidence what your dream role is.

You’ll know what companies to apply for.

Client 1 is a perfectionist and a PhD Scientist.

When we started working together she liked her boss and was overall happy in her role, but was not feeling challenged.

She wanted to know what her plan was and know she was driving her career in the right direction.

She started looking on LinkedIn for a new job and assessing her skills. She started working on her resume and before you know it she fell down a rabbit hole.

Spending 20 hours a week scrolling, updating, applying.

But for what? She wasn’t sure…exactly.

We created her career protocol. She now knows what she wants for her next 3 years, has the ideal work/home life, and is on track for a promotion.

Client 2 is a Director and loves her boss. She felt she wasn’t in the right role and it was draining her, leaving little energy for her child and partner.

She moved into her role for the experience but doesn’t feel like her work is making a difference day-to-day. She knows it is important but she doesn’t feel connected to it.

She wants to work on projects that would have helped a family member close to her.

But isn’t sure what it would look like or what her options are. She’s considering leaving her company but not sure if she should.

We created her Career Protocol and used it with my career disruptive strategy. Client 2 Had a role created for her in another Department, she defined the job description and received a $20,000 salary increase. She was just nominated for promotion to Senior Director within a year of being in her new role.

Client 3 is early in her Pharma/Biotech career and passionate about what she does. The problem is she is constantly working – either at work or thinking about it.

The deadlines are always moving and her boss is nice, but doesn’t communicate or lead well.

She thinks she should be promoted for everything she sacrifices but her boss says there are budget issues.

We created her Career Protocol to tell her if she should stay or go and what role would be best for her, it also told her what companies to apply with. This client, client 3 had multiple competing offers externally and a counter offer internally – accepted a new role with a $25,000 salary increase and $10,000 sign on bonus. She used her Career Protocol to tell her which job to take and my coaching to get multiple offers and negotiate her offers.

Client 4 just started a new job as an Associate Director and is questioning if she made the right choice.

The job description doesn’t match up with what she thought she was going to be doing. Resources are tight and her deliverables seem impossible.

A recruiter is reaching out to see if she’s interested in another job that would be completely different. She’s not sure if she should consider it.

She thought this was the right move but now she’s not so sure.

Client 4 has built a successful career in Pharma/Biotech but always felt like something was missing.

She secretly has wondered if she should have her own business or do consulting.

She has an idea she has thought of that would be a game-changer for clinical trials but never got it off the ground.

She’s wondering if she should become a CEO or stay the course.

We created her Career Protocol and it informed her that the great idea she had years ago is something she should pursue and after coaching to ensure it was the right decision, she left her role in Pharma and has started her own business, feels like she has her confidence back and is where she belongs.

Client 5 created her Career Protocol to figure out how to advance her career beyond the Management level.

She ended up getting promoted and a new job created for her. She continued to use the process to guide her career forward and in 3 years she was a Senior Director of a new facility.

Once you have your protocol, you not only make the best decisions now, but you make the right decisions for your future.

It doesn’t matter if you are early in your career, or a seasoned leader. If you work in the lab or an office. If you have a PhD or not. The Career Protocol is the missing piece.
